Ask Gus
Gus is the assistant inside Goose. Ask it about your deals, meetings and email in plain words, and check every answer against its sources.
Gus is the assistant inside Goose. You ask it a question in plain words, and it answers from what Goose knows: your deals and companies, your meetings and their notes, customer email, and Slack and Google Drive if your workspace has connected them. When an answer draws on a meeting, an email or a document, it lists those sources, so you can check it.
Gus can also do things for you, such as adding a to-do or starting a document. Most changes need an admin to have turned on Agent writes, and some wait for you to confirm them first.
Where to find it
- The left rail. Press Ask Gus, or press ⌘J on a Mac or Ctrl J on Windows. The same keys close it again.
- A deal, meeting or company. At the bottom of an open deal, press Ask Gus about this deal. A meeting has Ask Gus about this meeting, and a company card has Ask Gus about this company. Gus opens beside the record, set to answer about it.
- Home. Next to the box at the top, Ask Gus sends what you typed in the box as a question. With the box empty, it just opens Gus. The card for your next meeting has an Ask Gus button too, set to that meeting.
- Search. Press Search in the left rail (⌘K or Ctrl K) and type a question. Choose the Ask Gus row to send it to Gus.
Gus opens as a panel at the side of the page. It stays open while you move around Goose, so you can keep reading an answer while you look at the deal it's about. Press ✕ at the top of the panel, or Escape, to close it.
If you don't see Ask Gus anywhere, it isn't available on your workspace yet.
In this section

- What Gus can change for you: the changes Gus makes straight away, and the ones that wait for you to confirm them.
- What Gus can see: Gus sees what you can see in Goose, plus what your workspace has added to Goose Brain, such as email, Slack channels set to In memory, and Drive documents.
- Common snags: what the messages in the panel mean, and what to do about them.
