Connections

Salesforce

Connect your own Salesforce login on the Salesforce row, once an admin has linked your workspace.

Goose works with Salesforce: it reads your opportunities and keeps your deals in step with them. Salesforce is set up in two steps:

  1. An admin links the workspace to your company's Salesforce, in Settings › Sales Process on the CRM map tab.
  2. Each rep connects their own Salesforce login on the Salesforce row in Settings › Integrations.

This page covers the second step. For how Goose then ties meetings to deals, see How meetings land on deals.

Connect your login

  1. Open Settings › Integrations.
  2. If your company signs in to Salesforce through a sandbox or its own domain, press Use a sandbox or My Domain first and choose Sandbox or My Domain. A My Domain address ends in .my.salesforce.com. Otherwise the row signs in at login.salesforce.com.
  3. On the Salesforce row, press Connect and sign in with your own Salesforce login. You come back to Integrations, and a banner says Salesforce connected.
The Salesforce row before it is connected: its Connect button, and the line saying it signs in at login.salesforce.com, with Use a sandbox or My Domain.
Each rep connects Salesforce with their own login.

Once connected, the row shows your Salesforce address and a Review field mapping button, which opens the CRM map tab, where you can see where Goose puts your deal updates. It may also show a Push to Salesforce automatically switch. With it on, Goose pushes confirmed fields and the meeting note after one of your meetings on a deal you own is analyzed. Automatic push only fills a field that's blank in Salesforce or still holds what Goose last pushed there. Any other Salesforce value is left alone for you to review in the push checklist, and the deal's Salesforce tab shows both values.

Common snags

  • The row says An admin needs to connect Salesforce first. Your workspace isn't linked to Salesforce yet. Ask an admin. You don't need to reconnect afterwards: syncing starts on its own once they have. Admins see Finish connecting Salesforce in Settings › Sales process instead.
  • The row says Goose can't sign in to your Salesforce yet. Either the Goose AI package isn't installed in your Salesforce, or your Salesforce admin hasn't given you access to it. Ask your Salesforce admin to install the package and give you access with a profile or permission set, then press Connect again.
  • The row says it's connected to a different Salesforce org. You signed in with a login for another Salesforce org, often a sandbox instead of production or the other way round. Press Use a sandbox or My Domain, pick Production, Sandbox or My Domain, then press Reconnect and sign in with your company's Salesforce login.
  • The workspace is linked to the wrong Salesforce org. An admin presses Discard Salesforce link… on the CRM map tab in Settings › Sales Process, then links the right org.
  • Push to Salesforce automatically turned itself off. It turns off when the Salesforce link or the field mapping changes. Turn it on again.
  • The row is under Needs attention. Your Salesforce sign-in expired, so syncing is paused. Press Reconnect.
