Who can see your meetings
Which meetings your teammates can see, how to keep a calendar to yourself, and what Hide from Goose does.
Goose is built for a sales team working together, so most meetings are shared with the whole workspace. This page explains which meetings are shared, which stay private to you, and how to change that.
Shared with your workspace by default
A meeting Goose brings in from your calendar or from Granola can be seen by everyone in your workspace. That includes everything Goose has from it: the transcript, the summary, the to-dos and the prep. Teammates see it on the Meetings page, on its deal, in search and in Ask Gus. The one exception is a to-do marked internal, which stays with its owner.
A transcript you add in Settings › Brain can be read by everyone in your workspace too.
Meetings that stay private to you
A meeting is private to you, its owner, when:
- it comes from a calendar you've set to Only me (see below);
- it's a personal event on your primary calendar, with nobody else invited. On any other calendar set to Team, personal events are shared too;
- it's a recording you made with Record now that you haven't put on a deal or a company yourself.
A private meeting is still visible to a teammate whose own calendar has the same meeting: they were invited to it too. And a to-do from a private meeting stays visible to the teammate it's assigned to.
If a teammate who was also invited brings the same meeting in from a calendar they share with the team, everyone in your workspace can see it, even though your calendar is set to Only me. To keep a meeting from everyone, use Hide from Goose.
Its to-dos and notes follow the meeting: only people who can see the meeting see them, plus anyone a to-do is assigned to.
Choose which calendars Goose reads, and who sees them
- Open the account menu at the bottom of the left rail, choose Settings, then Integrations.
- In the Google Calendar row, find Visible calendars. It lists every calendar your Google account can see.
- Switch a calendar on for Goose to read its meetings, or off to stop. When you switch a calendar off, its upcoming meetings leave Goose; past and recorded ones stay.
- For each calendar that's on, choose who sees its meetings: Only me keeps them to yourself, and Team shares them with your workspace.
To begin with, Goose reads only your primary calendar, and shares it with your team. Any other calendar you switch on starts as Only me. When you change a calendar to Team, Goose first tells you how many meetings your teammates will see from it, past and upcoming; press Share to go ahead, or Cancel.
Reset to default puts every calendar back to how it started.
When a private recording becomes shared
A Record now recording stays private until you put it on a deal or a company yourself. When you attach it to a deal, or to a company, it's shared with your workspace, transcript and summary included. Taking it off the deal later doesn't make it private again; use Hide from Goose instead.
The same happens if Goose asks Are these the same meeting? about your private recording and a meeting your team can see. Merging them makes your recording visible to the team, and the card says so before you press Same meeting.
Hide a meeting from Goose
Hide from Goose removes a meeting from Goose for everyone in your workspace, not just you: no prep, no recording, and nobody on your team sees it.
- For one meeting: open it and press ⋯ at the top right, then Hide from Goose.
- For several: select them on the Meetings page and press Hide from Goose in the bar at the bottom (with several selected, it says Hide 3 from Goose, and so on).
Who can hide a meeting: anyone who has it on their own calendar, its owner, and, for a meeting the team can see, anyone with the Lead, Admin or Owner role. Each of them needs a seat that isn't read-only. A to-do from a hidden meeting stays visible to the person it's assigned to.
To bring a meeting back, open Filter on the Meetings page and turn on Hidden meetings. It lists the hidden meetings you can restore, each with who hid it (Hidden by …). Press Restore.
Marking a meeting internal or customer
Goose marks a meeting internal when everyone on it is from your company. Changing that, with Mark internal or Mark customer on the Meetings page, is limited to the meeting's owner, or anyone with the Lead, Admin or Owner role, on a seat that isn't read-only. The same goes for changing which deal a meeting is on.
