The deal page
Everything Goose knows about one deal, in one place.
Each deal opens in a panel beside your pipeline, so you can move from deal to deal without losing your place. It brings together the deal's facts, a summary of where it stands, its follow-ups, its meetings and emails (with Gmail connected), and the people involved.
Open a deal
- Press Deals in the left rail.
- Find the deal. Use the search box (Search deals, people, accounts…) or Filter. You see the deals you own; team leads, admins and the workspace owner can also see the whole team's. See Your pipeline.
- Press the deal's row. It opens on the right. Press another row to switch deals.
What's on it
- The header shows the deal's name, company and stage. If the deal is linked to Salesforce, Open in Salesforce ↗ opens it there.
- Deal facts, Team, Follow-ups and People sum up the deal at a glance: its close date, value and forecast, your team, and the customer's people. The deal's value is labeled ACV. To change the deal's name, close date, ACV, TCV, quarter or forecast, press the pencil (Edit deal fields), make your changes, then press Save.
- The stage track shows where the deal is. See Move a deal forward.
- Tabs:
- Overview opens with Catch me up, a summary of where the deal stands. Below it come Next best action (what to do next), people Goose suggests adding to the deal, and Why now. Exit criteria shows how many are met (see Move a deal forward). Your sales methodology comes last; open a part to Confirm or Correct what Goose filled in. When Goose has follow-up emails to offer, Next moves comes after that.
- Salesforce appears when your workspace is linked to Salesforce, or when the deal has notes waiting to be sent. It shows what Goose would update in Salesforce, where Salesforce has different values, and the history of past pushes.
- Follow-ups lists the deal's to-dos from its calls and emails under To-dos, grouped into You owe, They owe and Unassigned.
- Activity holds the deal's meetings, emails (with Gmail connected) and notes, filtered with All, Meetings, Emails and Notes. Emails appear only if your workspace has connected Gmail.
- People lists the customer's people and your own team on the deal, with each person's role. Goose may suggest someone else who belongs on the deal.
- Related lists the deal's earlier meetings, documents, mentions and similar deals.
- Ask Gus about this deal, at the bottom, opens the assistant for this deal.
Other actions
Press ⋯ at the top for Draft email, Mark won and Mark lost. On a closed deal, the menu has Reopen deal.
To add a deal that isn't in Goose yet, press + New deal on the Deals page.
Common snags
- Catch me up has no summary. It needs Goose Brain, which is on unless a workspace admin has turned it off in Settings › Brain, and at least one recorded meeting on the deal. If the deal has a recorded meeting but no summary yet, press Refresh. With no recorded meetings there's nothing to summarize, so there's no Refresh either.
- You can't edit the deal. Only the person who owns the deal, a team lead or an admin can change it. If your changes don't save, ask the person who owns the deal.
- There's no Salesforce tab. It appears when your workspace is linked to Salesforce, or when the deal has notes waiting to be sent.
