Work your day from Home

What the Home page shows each morning and how to clear it.

What the Home page shows each morning and how to clear it.1:00

Home is where your day starts. It shows your next meeting and its prep, everything waiting on you, ranked, your day's meetings, and your deals. You clear it one card at a time.

What's on the page

The top of Home: the date and time, a one-line summary, chips for the things that need you, the next meeting, what's waiting on customers and what's done today, a strip asking to connect Gmail, and the card for the next meeting, 1:1 Renata / Jordan, with Join, Ask Gus and Open in Meetings.
The header sums up your day; the card below it shows your next meeting.
  • The header gives today's date and one line about what's next. Its chips jump down the page: how many things need you, your next meeting, what's waiting on customers, and what you've finished today.
  • The card at the top shows your next meeting and the goal Goose wrote for it, with Join, Read prep, Ask Gus and Open in Meetings. Read prep opens the rest of the brief, and Hide prep folds it away. Once no meetings are left today, the card says so instead and, if you have a meeting tomorrow, offers Prep tomorrow.
  • Your queue lists what needs you, ranked by your next meeting, then by what's due. Items for your next meeting come first, under that meeting's name and time. Then come Today and Whenever. Once no meetings are left today, your follow-up emails, written or not, move to the top under Follow-ups to send. The queue shows ten cards at a time; Show N more lists the rest.
  • Your day, on the right, lists today's meetings in order, with the days ahead below. Each meeting shows whether its prep is ready. Press a meeting's arrow to open it, then Prep here (or Review here, for a meeting that's over) to show it in the card at the top. Back to next meeting puts your next meeting back.
  • Your deals lists For today (what's due across your deals) and each of your open deals. All deals → opens the Deals page.
  • Finished today, at the bottom, counts what you've done. Press Show the day to list it, or All activity → to open the Activity panel.

Clear your queue

Home's queue: Plan changed cards with a Review change button, a Follow-up · draft ready card with the draft's first line and Send, Edit, Done and Later buttons, and a Question for you card with an Answer button.
Each card says what kind of thing it is, which deal it's on, and what to press.
  1. Start at the top of Your queue. Each card says what it is:
    • Follow-up · draft ready: Goose has written the email. The card shows Send and Edit.
    • Follow-up · to write: an email you owe. Press Draft follow-up and Goose writes it. If Goose is still researching the answer, the button says Draft now, and the draft won't include the research.
    • Question for you: something only you can answer. Press Answer.
    • Change to confirm: a change Goose wants to make for you. Press Confirm to review it.
    • Plan changed: news about a deal, such as someone being added to a call. Press Review change.
    • You promised: something you said you'd do. Press Open task.
  2. Each card also shows where it came from: the deal, and the call or email where it was said. Press the quote on the card to read the exact words. When Goose has researched an answer, Show Goose’s answer opens it in place.
  3. When you've sent a follow-up, press ✓ Done (or, if you've connected Gmail, let Goose close it once it sees the sent email). See Send a follow-up email.
  4. Press ✓ Done when a to-do is finished. The card leaves the queue. Questions and changes to confirm have no Done or Later.
  5. Not today? Press Later and choose when it comes back: Tomorrow, Next week, or, while you still have a meeting today, after that meeting.
  6. When the queue is empty, it says Queue clear.

Goose also leaves suggestions in the queue, such as adding someone to a deal's team. Press the suggestion's button to act on it, Not now to see it again later, or Dismiss. Why this? says why Goose suggested it.

Focus on one deal

  1. In Your deals, press a deal. The queue shows only that deal's to-dos, under For today and Open. Your overdue to-dos on the deal come next, folded behind Show N slipped commitments.
  2. Waiting on them lists what the customer owes you, and how long it's been. Press Nudge and Goose drafts a short reminder for you to review.
  3. Press Back to For today to see all your to-dos again, or Go to deal → to open the deal itself.
One deal picked on Home: a Show 8 slipped commitments button, then the Waiting on them lane. Each card names what the customer promised, the call it came from, how many days it has waited and who it is waiting on, with a Nudge button.
Waiting on them lists what the customer owes you on this deal.

On the deal, the Follow-ups tab lists every to-do. See To-dos and follow-ups.

Add your own to-do

Type in the box at the top (Add a to-do, or ask Gus anything…) and press Enter. The to-do appears under Internal · only you see these in Your deals. To ask a question instead, press Ask Gus.

Common snags

  • Home is mostly empty. Connect Google Calendar in Settings › Integrations. Until then, Home shows Connect a calendar.
  • You snoozed something by mistake. Press the snoozed count under the queue (N snoozed · show), then Bring back.
  • A to-do from a call isn't on Home. Home's cards come from your deals and your Internal list. To see every to-do from a call, open the meeting's To-dos tab.
