After a meeting
Reviewing the summary and to-dos Goose prepares once a call ends.
Once a meeting's transcript reaches Goose, Goose writes a summary, fills in your sales methodology, pulls out the to-dos on both sides, and offers follow-up emails to draft. This guide covers reviewing all of it and getting the follow-up out.
Find the meeting
- Press Meetings in the left rail.
- Type in the search box (Search meetings, people, deals…). You can search by company, person or deal. To see only meetings that have happened, choose Past. The list covers the last 30 days; to find an older meeting, use Search in the left rail (⌘K or Ctrl K).
- Press the meeting's name. It opens beside the list.
From Home, you can also press Open in Meetings on the meeting card.
Read what Goose wrote
- While Goose works, the meeting says Goose is analyzing this meeting…. When it's done, the Overview shows the Summary, written from the call, with the company and deal linked.
- Press Open transcript to read the whole conversation.
Inside a meeting explains the rest of the Overview: the topics, the deal card and your sales methodology.
Work through the to-dos
Open the To-dos tab. It lists every commitment Goose heard on the call: what you owe and what the customer owes. Press Done on a to-do when it's handled. The same to-dos are on the deal, in its Follow-ups tab.
For researching, answering, dating and dismissing to-dos, see To-dos and follow-ups.
Send the follow-up
- Under After this call, press Draft. Or, on a follow-up card in Your queue on Home, press Draft follow-up; if Goose has already written the draft, the card shows Send and Edit instead.
- Read the draft and edit it.
- Press Create draft. The email goes into your Gmail drafts, and you send it from Gmail.
See Send a follow-up email for the details, and for closing the to-do afterward.
Update Salesforce
If the deal is linked to Salesforce, the Deal card shows how many updates are waiting, for example "3 updates to push to Salesforce". Press it to open the Salesforce tab, check the values, and press Push. Only the deal's owner can push, after connecting their Salesforce account.
Common snags
- The meeting has no notes. See Why a meeting has no notes for what each status means and what to do.
- Create draft is grayed out. Add at least one recipient in To.
- The draft isn't in Gmail. Check that Gmail is connected in Settings › Integrations. If the row says Reconnect to allow drafts and sending, press Reconnect.
