Meetings

The Meetings page

The charts, the table and the filters on the Meetings page, and how to act on several meetings at once.

The Meetings page lists every meeting Goose knows about: the ones coming up, and the ones that have happened. Press Meetings in the left rail to open it.

At the top, a line counts the meetings that match your tabs and filters, for example 14 upcoming · 28 held · 0 need review. The counts ignore the Next: range, so they can include meetings the table isn't showing yet. Pressing upcoming or held switches to that tab; with Next: Today picked, later meetings may still be hidden (see Why tomorrow's meetings seem to be missing).

The Meetings page: the search and filter bar, the two-week Fortnight chart with its In this view tiles, and the meetings table below.
The charts sit above the table; pick days on the chart to narrow it.

The charts

The charts sit between the toolbar and the table. They have three tabs:

  • Fortnight shows this week and next as a grid of days, with a dot for each meeting. The dot's color says whether it was a customer or an internal meeting, a hollow dot is one still to come, and a ringed dot needs attention.
  • Follow-through shows how the meetings in view are being followed up.
  • Time shows the hours of customer and internal meetings, day by day, for this week and next.

Beside the chart, In this view counts the Meetings, the Customer time and the Open commitments in the table. Press Customer time to show only customer meetings, or Open commitments to show only meetings with follow-ups still owed. Press Meetings to clear it again.

On Fortnight, pick days to narrow the table to them. With a mouse, drag across a run of days. A chip with the dates appears above the chart; press its × to show every meeting again.

To make more room for the table, press the arrow at the right end of the tabs (Hide charts). Press it again to bring them back.

Find a meeting

  • Search. Type in the search box (Search meetings, people, deals…). It matches a meeting's title, its company, its deal, its attendees, and your teammates on it. While you search, the table looks across every meeting on the page, whatever tabs and filters you had picked (only My meetings still applies). Clear the search to go back to your view.
  • All, Upcoming and Past split the meetings by whether they have happened.
  • My meetings shows only the meetings you own or attend.
  • Filter narrows the table further. Under Show, pick External meetings, Has a deal or Needs follow-up. Below that you can pick a calendar (when any of your meetings came from one), deal stages, and people (your team first, then customers). Hidden meetings lists the meetings hidden from Goose, so you can restore them. The number on Filter says how many filters are on; Clear filters, at the bottom of the menu, turns them all off.
The Meetings Filter menu open, with Show options (External meetings, Has a deal, Needs follow-up) and the deal stages to filter by.
Filter narrows the table to the meetings you care about.

Why tomorrow's meetings seem to be missing

The table opens on Next: Today: it shows today's meetings and everything that has already happened, but nothing after today. That's why tomorrow's meetings don't appear at first.

To see further ahead, pick Next: 3 days, Next: 7 days or All beside the All / Upcoming / Past tabs. Picking a day on the Fortnight chart, or typing in the search box, also shows meetings past today.

Only the last 30 days

The Meetings page holds meetings from the last 30 days, and the next six months. A meeting older than 30 days isn't in the table, even when you search for it. To find one, use Search in the left rail (⌘K on a Mac, Ctrl K on Windows) and open the meeting from there.

Some calendar entries aren't treated as meetings and never show in the table, unless they were recorded: all-day events, anything eight hours or longer, and events with nobody else invited.

Read the table

Each row is one meeting. Meetings are grouped by day, and each row shows the meeting's name, company, attendees, date, deal and your teammates on it.

  • A chip beside the name says what kind of meeting it is: Deal (it's on a deal), Internal (only people from your company) or Ad-hoc (a customer meeting that isn't on a deal yet).
  • Upcoming meetings have a Join button, when the invite has a video link, and a Prep button, which opens the brief. See Before a meeting.
  • Press a row to open the meeting beside the table. See Inside a meeting.

The Follow-up column

The last column says where each meeting stands:

  • On an upcoming meeting on a deal, what's still owed on that deal from earlier calls, for example 5 owed · 4 on us. Press it to see those to-dos.
  • On a meeting Goose has analyzed, what came out of it, for example 4 commitments · 4 open tasks. Press the meeting to work through them.
  • Processing… means Goose is working on the call now.
  • Not recorded, Waiting for transcript, Needs review and the other problem states each mean something different. Why a meeting has no notes explains each one and what to do.

Act on several meetings at once

Tick the box at the start of each row you want, or the box in the header to pick them all. A bar appears at the bottom of the page:

The bar that appears when meetings are selected: 2 selected, with Attach to deal, Mark internal, Mark customer, Clear mark, Hide 2 from Goose and Clear.
Select meetings with their checkboxes to act on them together.
  • Attach to deal puts the selected meetings on a deal. Meetings that are already on a deal are left as they are.
  • Mark internal and Mark customer fix a meeting Goose put in the wrong group. Goose marks a meeting internal when everyone on it is from your company. Clear mark hands the choice back to Goose.
  • Hide from Goose (or Hide 3 from Goose with several selected) hides the meetings for your whole team, with no prep and no recording. See Who can see your meetings.
  • Clear unticks everything.

Only a meeting's owner, a team lead, an admin or the workspace owner can change its deal, or whether it's internal, and not from a read-only seat. If one of these doesn't work for you, ask the meeting's owner.
